Mr. Nelson is a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has made North Carolina his home for almost
twenty years because of all the opportunities for a career in healthcare. Mr. Nelson is married to his
beautiful wife Jessica, and they have four children, three boys and baby girl.
Mr. Nelson graduated from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC with a Bachelor of Science
in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He then went on
to obtain his master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Administration at the University of
Phoenix.
Mr. Nelson has served his local community for almost a decade as a Registered Nurse occupying various
roles like medical-surgical, trauma and transplant nurse, Home Health and Hospice nurse, Operations
Manager/Nurse Manager for a private healthcare company and more.
Mr. Nelson enjoys instructing and helping to shape the future of healthcare by helping to influence
future healthcare workers.
